Acupuncture can help improve the body’s function and increase vitality, promoting the self healing process. In traditional Chinese medicine, when there is a disruption to the flow of Chi or energy in the body dis-ease can develop. Stimulation of specific acupuncture points can release said Chi. The most common method of stimulation is by the acupuncturist inserting very fine sterile needles into the skin at the indicated points. Most people feel none or very minimal discomfort as the needles are placed very gently.

Renewal’s acupuncturist Don Wensrich R.Ac. is one of only three practitioners in the Calgary area with extensive training in German Auricular (ear) acupuncture. This treatment can also be performed with traditional acupuncture, using needles or with the Medical LaserPen. The LaserPen can also be used on other areas of the body, in place of needles, to assist in healing.

In conjunction with your acupuncture treatment, you will be offered Quantum Sound Therapy, as an included service. This therapy helps release deep seated stress and balances your chakras.
